Christmas Day - 2010

Christmas Day started off about 07:30 when we started to get up. I was awake at 04:30 to let the cat out but wasn't wanting to get up for the day and went back to bed. Esther turned up about 08:00 and the kids got dressed and had breakfast and got ready for opening the presents. Nice to get them sorted in that order because as soon as the presents would be open it would be difficult for them to do anything. So we opened the presents, had a cuppa, opened more presents and then whilst the kids were playing, us adults got things ready to go to Esther's for lunch. Esther took the kids down apart from Oliver and half an hour later we all trundled down there. We had lunch and then kicked a ball about outside. I had a little power nap. Well, I'm calling it that. Then Dave, Jamie and I went back home to pick up the van and off we went via Hororata to Dyane's place for BBQ Tea. We were there a few hours eating and talking and playing with the kids before coming home by about 21:15. Carole just drank all day.
Jamie was very happy with his Lego. Until we found that one part was broken in one set and another part was missing in the other set. Bees Loved her Barbie stuff. Oliver lives for Football (Arsenal) and was enjoying all things football. Georgina loves Hello Kitty and so had few things there. Dave got an ipad & stand and a few things, as did Carole but she got a netbook instead of the ipad but they got these coolio things before they came out so they could use them on the journey here. I got a magicians wand. It's cool. I can wave it about and it'll turn on the telly or change the channels...etc. Dave said the idea was on Dragon's Den in the UK. I've got to program it. I had a go and it seems to work nicely.
That was it really. It was a lovely sunny day and it went by very fast. Time for bed very very soon. All the pictures are here. Enjoy.

Hey, I am checking this blog using the phone and this appears to be kind of odd. Thought you'd wish to know. This is a great write-up nevertheless, did not mess that up.
